Stop Motion

Stop Motion

In this page of My Blog, I will be looking at the animation tool of Stop Motion, and looking to see if it fits all the requirements of my animation, and whether or not I will be using Stop Motion to create my animation or not. I will be asking some questions to get an in depth view into whether this is a contender.

Questions
1) An overview of your animation software
2) What you are going to use the software for
3) A PMI (positive, minus, interesting)
4) How to use the program (basic tutorial)
5) What type of animation the software is
6) An example of the software (embedded into your blog)
7) A short evaluation of the software based on your experience.

Answers

Overview
Stop motion incorporates a modern use to a sub-traditional technique. Stop motion requires the author to capture individual slides, which are automatically or manually uploaded to the software, where they will be played at the perfect frames per second, giving you a clean animation if the photo's were taken correctly.

Use
I will be testing to see whether I can use Stop Motion for my final Idea animation. I will be trying to see whether the detail, time, difficulty and a few other factors are better here then other animation softwares, so I will be able to get the best out of my animation.

The software is easy to use
You have to take individual photos
How even with pencils in your pencil case, you can make a cool, animation
It is extremely flexible and almost anything can be created
This might take a long time

Tutorial
It is most clear that Stop Motion is the easiest of all the animation tools to use. All you need to have is a camera that works, a computer with the software installed on it, and some props to make the animation with. Once you have everything ready, you can begin by taking multiple photos using the camera, and then uploading it onto the software. Make sure the photos are slightly different every time  so a smooth animation is created. Once all the photos are installed, the software will play them at a pace that is suitable and then you have an animation, Easy Right???

Type of Animation
Stop Motion is a Traditional Animation, but it incorporates modern technology into it so that it is easier to create the animation, rather than drawing each individual slide by hand.

Example

Evaluation
So using the research on Stop Motion that I did, I am now able to say that for my final design of my Animation, I will be using Stop Motion. The amount of detail that can be acquired using Stop Motion is amazing, and how easy it is to make a good or great animation. It may take a bit of time for me to take each individual photo for my animation, but it is a short term gain for a long term gain.
