Idea
Genre is the area or the style from which a movie can be added to. It is a french words, and has the meaning of 'Style'. Certain things can be categorised into a genre, then when you loom for a movie similar to it, you will have a whole bunch of movies that might appeal to you. Genres can also be considered like a recipe book, where the mains go in one section, so you know all the mains and where to find them.
When thinking of genres you can think of things like sci-fi, where you can have an alien species, and a group of explorers, who need to study them. This genre has many movies that can be thought of when looking at this type of movie, like Alien, Predator, Star Trek, and many more.
Genre can also be seen in to techniques and conventions of the movie, so like a romantic comedy can have close up shots, and horror stories have high angled shots to make the vulnerability. All of these things are shown in genres, which make searching for movies easier.

Manga
Manga is a Japanese Comic but is different from the American Comics because of the age specified. In American Comics usually the age is universal, like Superman or Batman, but Manga has a specific age target. Like children will get animations like Pokemon.
Machinima
Machinima is the animation which is created by gameplay from a video game. This video game can either have a story line, or just be pure gameplay. These animations are usually found on Youtube, and have a whole industry around it.
Genre Examples
4. The Genre that I shall use for the animation is going to be Comedy, because the comedy genre is liked by all who watches it. The Comedy Genre is a great genre because the ideas are so easy to think of, and the ideas are widely liked, making it easy to impress. The Comedy Genre is also very versatile and the animation can be really funny, if done well. There are many great animations that are comedy, like Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run.
Old Brief
Nickelodeon has asked me to produce a program that shall be used between episodes of cartoons. They hoped that the program will have a main character and some other characters to help the cartoon be funny. It will have to be safe for children to watch, because if not then there will be some problems in the legal department, so no violence or bad language. The maximum time that the program can be is 2 minutes and it must be over 30 seconds. It has been recommended that I use Stop Motion, because the company informed me that Stop Motion is a very enjoyed program that kids usually like.

Nickelodeon has asked me to produce a program that shall be used between episodes of cartoons, and will entertain the kids in a comical way. They hoped that the program will have a main character and some other characters to help the cartoon be funny. It will have to be safe for children to watch, because if not then there will be some problems in the legal department, so no violence or bad language. The maximum time that the program can be is 2 minutes and it must be over 30 seconds. The Show has to fit into the Comedy genre, so that it is widely preferred to other characters.
Story Components
Beginning- At the beginning of the story you need to set up the foundation for the rest of the story to come. This means you need to set up everything that is happening, so that the audience has an understanding of what is happening. In this part of the story it is required that you set up the scene or the set, the characters in the story, and the situation. Basically this section of the story is the introduction, where you set the scene for the characters and the events to come.
Middle- In the middle of the story you set up the action sequence, so the story has something to excite the audience. This action sequence does not require there to be action violent action. What action means is a spike in the plot line for instance a dramatic experience for the character, or a love interest between two characters. This action sets the tone for the climax and the closing of the film.
End- The end of the film is when everything starts to happen and and the film comes to a close. The end of the film leads up to the big climax and sets the tone for the resolution. The Climax is when the major crisis happens, such as a Car Chase or a big experience for the Characters. After the climax, the resolution takes place where everything comes to a close, and the character either sorts the situation out or doesn't. Usually there is a happy ending to the story, but the story doesn't always need a happy ending.
